Have you invited your Facebook Friends to Like your Facebook Business Page?

Have you thought about how to generate referral traffic from your Facebook Friends?

In this article, you’ll discover how to invite your Facebook friends to Like your business Page and how to target them later through a Facebook Ad that can help grow your service-based business.

I know what you’re thinking.

You’re probably wondering why we should invite our Facebook Friends to like our business Page when Organic reach is so low, right? And, if organic reach is low, then how can I generate business from the people who like my Page when I’m on a budget?

According to Facebook, organic reach is “the number of people you can reach for free on Facebook by posting to your Page”.  And yes, it is declining.  Truth be told, it has been declining since 2014.  With the number of people utilizing Facebook for personal and business reasons, the competition for space on a user’s News Feed is fierce.

I realize that this is frustrating for Entrepreneurs who are just now getting started with their Facebook Marketing efforts, especially if you consider your marketing efforts as an expense rather than viewing marketing as an investment. (If you want to know why marketing should be viewed as an investment, check out this post.)

Working On A Budget

Regardless of the size of your marketing budget, there are certain things that you can be doing to get in front of prospective clients.  One of them is inviting your friends to Like your Facebook business Page.

To be clear, I’m not suggesting that you invite ALL of your friends.  I’m suggesting that you invite the friends who are most likely to be in need of the services you provide, or who are most likely to refer you to other people who may be in need of your services.

Here’s how you can invite Facebook friends to Like your Page from your desktop or laptop:

Here’s how you can invite Facebook friends to Like your Page using an iPhone or iPad:

Sorry Andriod friends, I don’t have a video for how to invite your Friends via an Android device because I don’t have an Android at this time.

Now What?

Now that you’ve invited your Facebook friends to like your business Facebook Page, you can target them with an ad. The type of ad is up to you.  One ad that I like using is my Why video, this way they get to learn a little bit more about me.  Or, I’ll invite them to join our community of entrepreneurial service professionals looking to ditch the nine-to-five who are passionate about succeeding in their businesses.

Run a Facebook Ad Campaign

Here’s how to run a quick Video View ad campaign to the people who Like your Facebook Page:

NOTE:  For this Ad Campaign, we are going to select a video that has already been posted on your Facebook Business Page.

Step 1: Open Ads Manager

Step 2: Choose your marketing objective.

 – Tip:  Selecting the Video View objective tells Facebook that want people to watch your video. Facebook will then place your video in front of the people most like to watch at least 3-seconds of your video.
– Tip:
Make your Campaign Name descriptive.

Step 3: Create your Ad Set

An Ad Set is made up of your target audience, budget, schedule, and placement.

Selecting your audience:

Select where your ad should be displayed.
Tip: If you’re new to Facebook Ads, select Automatic Placements and let Facebook determine the best places to show your video

Set your Budget and Schedule
Tip: The minimum Daily Budget allowed by Facebook is $1.00 USD per day.

Step 4: Create Your Ad

You should receive a notification from Facebook once your Ad has been approved.

Congratulations!  You’re running an Ad campaign to those people who support your passions as an entrepreneur!
